Embracing The Desire to be Seen: A Talk & Supper Club
Many people, regardless of outward success carry a deep desire to be seen, heard and expressed through meaningful work. Yet fear, early conditioning and embodied nervous system patterns often interrupt that impulse, quietly shaping our confidence, presence and capacity to act.
Through this talk, we will explore:
What creatives need in order to liberate desire, talent and energetic capacity
What unconsciously holds us back from pursuing our work courageously and skilfully
The impact of fear on creative expression – and how it hampers performance, leadership and relationships
The hidden roots of creative inhibition, and why fear often masquerades as procrastination, perfectionism, people-pleasing or overthinking
The evening will begin with a talk followed by a connective Q&A, enabling a reclamation of desire as a valid, embodied signal rather than something to suppress or earn.
A delicious supper, created by Katia Narain Phillips and hosted by Anthea, completes the evening – a warm, interactive gathering anchored in community and collaboration.
